Developing Skills Outside of the Classroom
Our curriculum is underpinned by the national curriculum, which sets out the programmes of study which our pupils cover in their classes. However, when we talk about successful Trinity Academy St Chad’s pupils, we aim to develop each child’s special skills, talents and interests – including the provision of an appropriate educational programme for all pupils with special educational needs.
Pupils are encouraged to participate in sports activities and to come along to other organised events. We are keen to include parents and carers on these occasions, and there are many opportunities to get involved. Pupils are also given the opportunity to take part in a wide range of after-school clubs which run for an hour at the end of school each day. Over the past year, after-school clubs have included choir, business and enterprise, art, tri-golf, tag-rugby, dodgeball, football, rounders, gymnastics, rock school and taekwondo.
